The pattern we have noticed is that those firms who embrace Effective Intelligence are already high performers and it is they who most want to get better. Since 'thinking' is at the centre of everything done, it is the most strategic investment to be made, with the highest possible Return on Investment. To raise the effective intelligence of any part of the organisation contributes to the bottom line. Where it has been possible to measure results in targeted projects, the impact on the bottom line has ranged from five hundred thousand to several millions. Full evaluation however, is rare especially as few businesses are both able and willing to measure performance before as well as after an intervention. But all clients identify their objectives for using Effective Intelligence, and so can tell what they achieve. One indicator is that many organisations keep on asking for more, and our four longest-term clients add up to 91 years between them.
Our network of Associates, which is sole source, has extensive industry-focused experience, but corporate clients do not necessarily approach us for any expert knowledge of their own field of work. They engage with Effective Intelligence for its specialisation in treating thinking as strategic, enabling them to set new standards in their performance.
Effective Intelligence has been taken into the business schools of Harvard, MIT and Cass (City University, London), where work continues with hundreds of business students. In addition, extensive work in the past has been done in schools in the UK and North America, on a not for profit basis. One small research project in the UK showed that intelligent children really 'get it' fast and it enhanced their all round confidence in their own abilities to think well, independently of any particular subject specialisation. This demonstrated the value of the generic learning tools of Effective Intelligence.
