Dr. Barry Frew is an entrepreneur, consultant, speaker, and thought leader regarding professional development and learning events. He and his company promote higher order thinking © and creates learning events aimed at improving and altering mindsets and cultures. His programs have proven to be highly effective and have been credited to work even for high potentials and successful, well experienced executives. Barry has worked extensively in both public, non-profit, and private sector environments.

Barry is licensed to use Effective Intelligence and uses it in a wide range of individual and organizational settings such as leadership development, cultural change/transformation, executive coaching, improved communication and performance, thinking systemically and with strategic intent, decision-making, problem solving, execution, and alignment.

Prior to starting his own firm, Barry founded and directed the award winning Center for Executive Education for the United States Navy. His programs at the Center provided boundary expanding programs for the Navy and Department of Defense Flag and General Officers and Senior Executive Service civilians. These programs built a large following and national reputation. He has been credited for changing the culture of Navy leadership; changing the dialog within the Navy; and expanding the awareness and perception of leaders regarding their vision of future possibilities and outcomes.

His entrepreneurial spirit and his non-traditional approach to executive education has been the focus of articles, magazines and news periodicals. Barry is an Emeritus Professor at the Naval Postgraduate School, an elite Department of Defense Graduate School, and is an adjunct faculty member at the Federal Executive Institute (FEI).

Barry frequently consults for private industry as well as state and federal government facilities. He is often requested to speak at government, private industry, and international events.

He was educated at Miami of Ohio (BS in Applied Science), Naval Postgraduate School (MS in Computer Systems Management) and completed his doctoral work at Golden Gate University in Public Administration.
